Q: What are Otherkin?

A: Otherkin is a wide describtion for people on Earth that, for the largest part, have been born into a wrong body. Also, not only the human body has been the target of these wrong-births. There are also other creatures in this realm, that are occupied by otherkin (a very good example is cats, that have as many otherkin amongst them as do humans). Not only has some Otherkin been born into wrong bodies, some have even been born into wrong dimensions and even wrong timelines (I, for myself, is of the latter: Born into a wrong timeline). There are also the lucky ones, that have simply been as unlucky as to being of a race, that is no longer understood or thought to be non-real. Like this is one of the persons that I have met online; a Fae. She can see sound and hear light, as many fae can, but a thing that she have been forced to find out by herself was, that not all can this (think of the strange looks that some people must have given her when she said things like "The Sun surely sound great today, doesn't it?". To some this must sound completely nuts.

A2: Otherkin are the supernatural among us. They are the Elves, Dragons, Nymphs, and Trolls that used to live more openly amoung humankind. Some are from other dimensions and other places.

Q: What kinds of Otherkin are there?

A: There are many kinds of Otherkin, but the most talked about are the Elves, Dwarves, Sidhe, Dragons, Fae, Brinn and Elenari, that I have information on on this site. In these races, there are sub-races, just as with humans. This will not be deepened further here, please visit the respective race describtions by clicking on the menu (in Lynx: the menu is in the top).

Q: What is remembering/ awakening?

A: Remembering, or awakening as it is has been called more often, is the time, where an individual that has previously thought that (s)he was human, discover that (s)he indeed is not human, but in stead some other race, be that elven, fae, sithe, dragon or whatever. It is, also, a time of many changes, both physically, mentally and emotionally. A time of confusion, why it should not also be a time without support. It can be a very fun, but also very taxing time as moodswings are common and backflashed that are triggered by these are not always just the best news nor easy to, should we say, "swallow". Awakening is not just a one-time thing. It is a process that will span many years and each part of the Awakening is different from the others. Short: Awakening is difficault, emotional confusing, generally confusing, hard, and support always usable.

Q: I heard about this yiffing thing. What is that?

A: Well, yiffing is by definition sexual relations between Furries (either in real life or on line). A site of interest would be Yiff Grand Central
