Chapter 7: Sending

The next morning, Mongswai woke quite suddenly. He had remembered what happened last night. NeeNee woke just after him. After an exchange of a couple of kisses, Mongswai told her what had happened last night. He must have looked very funny, because NeeNee giggled a bit and then a thought as clear as the one the night before appeared in his mind: "That is a thing everybody can do. You just have to concentrate a bit, and you can Send words and pictures to somebody else" She stopped giggling and looked almost frightened at him and said: "Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot. You are from another world. You couldn't possibly know it." Mongswai smiled broadly, pulled her over to himself and said, that she shouldn't mind. He concentrated hardly and tried to send a picture of a waterfall to her. She almost screamed and held her head. "STOP! Not that hard. It hurts." She cried. He stopped immediately. What they didn't know was, that the reason was, that, as they were inside Mongswai's head, and all communication actually was at this plane. They just thought it was actually travelling through the air as in the real world. It is also a fact, that they were never attacked when they were asleep. Actually, it all went still, as Mongswai was asleep. It was after all his brain and the cleaning of his mental hard drive was a quite all consuming process. Well, back to the story.

This was the first time he noticed her slightly pointed ears. He thought of something, and touched his own ears. Yes, they were to. Just a bit, but they were. Hey, he wasn't human. The guy in the water wasn't his body at 26 years either. It had his eyes and a little of his face, but it wasn't him. It was... Well, another one's body. But, he thought. That's all right. I like this body, so why do I care. A smile came to his face and he touched NeeNee's hair with his lips. As he did this, One Tooth entered the cabin in wolf form, accompanied by one of the other wolves. It was to the right side of him. *That's Run-like-wind. She is his lifemate* NeeNee sent to him. *She is also a shape-shifter, but she doesn't exactly go around bragging about it. To tell the truth, she feel ashamed about it. She don't like walking around thinking that much. In her own words: It was much easier when I was just an ordinary wolf.* This was quite funny, because it was actually exactly in her own words. NeeNee had sent what she remembered to him. It was funny, he thought. Almost like watching a movie.

*Well, now what*, One Tooth asked. He and Run-like-wind had sat on the floor, and was facing NeeNee and Mongswai. "What do you mean" Mongswai wanted to know. *I mean, what do we do now. We have had a good night sleep, and we are ready to go. I was more thinking of you guys. Are you ready, or do you have to do any more research* One Tooth sent, looking at Mongswai. "No, we are finished here" Mongswai and NeeNee said simultaneously and Mongswai continued *Let's track that child*
